Between 3 and 4 yesterday morning my grandpa man passed away.  At the age of 9/10 he became my hero. He was more than just a grandpa. When my dad left he stepped in and took that place. Always there to fix something and help out. My grandpa was one of those people who you meet spend a few hours with him and go away loving him!  My cousin's and I used to call him Grumpy. LOL A much loved nickname!!! He was always pretending like he couldn't stand his grandkids, but we knew that deep down inside he was a big soft teddy bear!!! He has a unique sense of humor. (if you'd meet him you would understand where my sense of humor comes from!!  ) He loved life and the people in his life! He LOVED to joke around!
Yesterday we were called to the hospital around 4 something. We stayed till late afternoon. I didn't want to leave him, even though I know it's just his body, his spirit is gone. There was some comfort in his body. He looked like he was sleeping. We half expected him to wake up and "complain" about how he can't get any sleep with all these women jibber jabbering around!!! (our hint to leave the room) Or to demand some ice. "Where's my ice?!?! What!!! No ice! You girls are slacking on your job!!! What am I paying you for anyway???" LOL (then he'd look at me and tell me "Young lady! You better get those girls in line!" LOL But when we got to my grandparents house... then it was real. He was gone.
He is my hero. I miss him SOOOO muchly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know he is in heaven and wouldn't wish him back here to this earth where he was suffering so much! I know I'll see him again someday!!!  (CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!) There is a spot in all our hearts that hurts so deeply, because he is gone. Life will not be the same without him around.
I love you muchly grumpy!!!! Can't wait to see you again someday!!!!!

| At the begining of last week was VBS. I wasn't able to help out on Monday, but was there Tuesday and Wednesday. I was with the team with littlest kiddos. they are SO CUTE!!!!!!
On Wednesday evening one of the little girls took me around and introduced me to all her family memebers, who I already knew them all. lol She couldn't figure out how I knew them all!  lol Then at one point she noticed that I have a ring on my left hand. She says to me "OH! You're married!!!" hahahaha! My response "No. No, I'm not." She said "Yes, you have ring. So, your married!" LOL I told her "Yes, I have a ring. But it's not on the right finger. If you're married your ring goes on this finger." It still didn't make any sense to her! lol She then so matter of factly informed me that she was married. Trying desperatly hard to hide the laughter and smile ready burst out I said "Oh, really?!?!?!" She told me that she was married to her dog. Trying even harder to keep from busting out laughing I said "hmmm..." "Yes! He licked me on the lips! So, we're married!" LOL She did tell me that she kissed him twice on the lips before he licked her, not sure if that means anything or not...
Then there was Matthew. Adorably, cute little boy!!! Wild, crazy, FULL of an insane amount of energy, a bit on the naughty side, but oh so cute!!! He would say the most random things. Kept me laughing.
Kids make me laugh so hard!!!! Those three days made me really, really miss playing with my kids all day long. I did throw in a bit of teaching every so often, but the playing was more fun!!! lol

| My gorgeous sis is married!  Twas a blast helping her get ready for the wedding. As I've missed out on everything else, the two weeks before the wedding I thoroughly enjoyed helping prepare for it. Then the big day came. Along with it came the craziness! I arrived at the church around 9, to get my hair done, do my nails, and be ready for pictures. (I might add that I only got 4 nails done!  I was wearing gloves most the time, so it didn't really matter) The day came and went without any real hitches. (Well, there was one, but it all worked out. )

mollie, austin, and jess. mollie was so cute! so many people kept telling her smile mollie. she would concentrate so hard on it that she would end up frowning. but yay! she made it down the aisle with a smile.

Well, that's it for now. I think I'm officially recovered on sleep from the wedding! Nat, I'm so happy for you! As I was so far away for y'alls courtship and engagment I wasn't so sure how excited I was for you. (after all he was STEALING MY sister!!!! ) But after coming home and seeing how much he loves you and respects you, I started to get very excited for ya! Daniel, remember the sisters can beat you up. jk! You got yourself a very amazing and awesome girl! I'm really happy for you both! I've seen and known you both before anything between you ever happened and I've seen how God has taken you through many different things and grown you in Him. Not just grown you close to Him, but I've also seen how He's grown you to each other in Him. May God bless you both richly as you start your lives together! | | |
